Silver silver everywhere...

Well, the leaves are falling from the trees, and we are coming into the chilly embrace of winter again (yay!!!). That said, it's time to break out the silver, and I don't mean the kind you use to eat, I mean the kind that you wear!.

That’s right, not gold, silver, albeit golds less expensive cousin, it’s metallic shine gives it character of it’s own. I've always preferred silver jewelry over gold, as silver to me has a cleaner look, and I find it less gaudy in appearance.

Whether it be an undecorated band of silver, or something with treasured stones set in it, even cubic zirconia will do when I just don’t have the money for real diamonds.

I can’t say why exactly I liken the clean and calming tone of silver with the chilly time of winter, it could be that with winter comes the snowfall, and the ice covered landscape glitters like a jeweled silver ring. Even the icicles that hang from your roof, shining like Silver Pendants.

Though, it’s probably due to an old family tradition that was passed down from my mothers side of the family, where the women are presented with a gift of silver for Christmas. I just know that when the weather begins to get colder, I can’t help but to show off my collection.

With all that said, I think I’m going to go shopping around for a new necklace, or perhaps some nice Silver Bracelets to wear for Thanksgiving. It’s just that time of year again!

Until my next entry folks, keep that silver polished!
